About Us

Established in 1959, the Texas Association of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery is the primary statewide professional organization dedicated to the practice of otolaryngology for Texas Physicians. The TAO provides a strong resource for education, networking, leadership and advocacy specifically targeted to otolaryngologists and the practice of Otolaryngology.

TAO holds an annual meeting each year in the fall. This meeting offers high quality, up-to-date continuing medical education (CME) programs on a variety of clinical, scientific, and other related medical topics. This program offers affordable CME credit and networking opportunities.

Our Mission

The Texas Association of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is a professional association for board certified Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeons in Texas. The Association was founded in 1958 to promote and advance the practice of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in Texas and provide continuing education for its members.

The purpose for which this association is formed shall be to promote and advance the science and art of medicine appertaining to the ear, nose and throat, to encourage the study of the relationship of this specialty to other branches of medicine, to encourage the study of social and economic problems particular to the field of ear, nose and throat care.
