Why Should you Join TAO?

- Earn CME hours needed to renew your medical license at our annual meeting.
- Gain representation locally and nationally on important socioeconomic and legislative issues affecting Otolaryngology.
- Access to the TAO website for up-to-date information.
- Network with other ENTs to develop collegial relationships with other colleagues.
- A way to communicate your concerns to your colleagues in and around your community.
- Keep updated on state issues and notification of legislation affecting your practice.

Membership Types:

Active Member ($100 per year)
- Be a member in good standing of his/her local county medical society and the Texas Medical Association.
- Provide proof of certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery or provide proof of board eligible status for examination by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Heck Surgery.
- Have been in full time practice of Otolaryngology in the State of Texas for one year.
- Include payment of annual dues with application for active membership.

Associate Military Member ($100 per year)
- Be a member in good standing of his/her local county medical society and the Texas Medical Association.
- Provide proof of certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery or provide proof of board eligible status for examination by the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Heck Surgery.
- Be in full time practice of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in the Military Service.
- Include payment of annual dues with application for associate military membership.

Resident Members ($0 per year)
- Open to all residents enrolled in an approved Otolaryngology Residency training program in the State of Texas.
-  Proof of residency training required.
-  Resident members may apply for elevation to Active status with the Society upon the completion of their training program and completion of their Residency.
- Resident members have no vote in Society matters and cannot hold Society office.
To apply for Resident Membership, download and fill out the Resident Membership Application and Email it to TAO.  No payment is needed since membership is free until you complete your residency training.
